IGBC Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Chapter Takes a Leap Towards a Green and Sustainable Environment

On October 15, the Indian Green Building Council (IGBC) Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Chapter took a significant step towards promoting a greener and sustainable urban environment. At a high-profile event held at Hotel Taj International, the chapter organized the “IGBC Connect” session, focusing on transforming the city into a green and sustainable hub. The event aimed to highlight the importance of eco-friendly urban development and demonstrate practical steps toward reducing the city’s carbon footprint.

A key highlight of the event was the unveiling of an innovative carbon-dioxide absorbing device conceptualized by Mr. Nitin Bagadia, Director and Architect at Manjeet Pride Group. The device reflects IGBC’s commitment to introducing sustainable solutions that actively contribute to improving air quality and combating environmental challenges.

The session was attended by prominent leaders and experts from various sectors, including real estate, architecture, industrial domains, and environmental initiatives. Distinguished guests included Mr. G. Shrikant, Municipal Commissioner; Mr. Navin Bagadia, IGBC Aurangabad Chapter President; Mr. Aditya Jivane, Co-Managing Director of Mahavitaran; Mr. Dheeraj Khatri, CII-IGBC Advisor; Prof. Medha Naik, Founder & Managing Partner of Eco Nivaran; Mr. Nitin Bagadia, Director & Architect of Manjeet Pride Group; and Mr. Hares Siddiqui, Co-Chairman of IGBC Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar Chapter.

The discussions focused on green building practices, sustainable housing solutions, and environmentally friendly urban infrastructure. Experts deliberated on local opportunities, technological innovations, and strategic measures necessary to promote sustainable development in Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar. The session emphasized the importance of eco-friendly construction technologies, energy-efficient design practices, rainwater harvesting, solar energy adoption, and zero-carbon buildings. It was highlighted that sustainable urban development is not only about environmental protection but also about creating safe, healthy, and economically strong communities for future generations.
