An important Diwali or Deepavali ceremony is the Lakshmi Puja. There were many inquiries about how to perform Lakshmi Puja at home. There is no simple solution to this issue because the ceremony differs by locality. The first and most important step is to thoroughly clean the house. We are bringing Goddess Lakshmi to our home via the puja, and she appreciates tidy and clean surroundings. On Lakshmi Puja day, some groups even worship the broom. This expresses the desire for cleanliness symbolically. On this day, three kinds of Shakti are worshipped: Goddess Lakshmi, Goddess Saraswati, and Goddess Durga, as well as Lord Ganesh and Lord Kubera. In the Kalash, place a betel nut, a flower, a clean coin, and some rice. Arrange mango leaves around Kalash’s mouth. On the Kalash, place a Thaali (a tiny plain plate). Draw a lotus with turmeric powder on the Thaali and lay the idol or tiny image of Goddess Lakshmi on top. Put some money on the Thaali. Place the Lord Ganesha statue to the right of Kalash.

You can also keep the idols of Saraswati and your favourite deities if necessary. Create a serene and tranquil environment. The best technique is to close your eyes and focus on ‘om.’ To cleanse all puja materials, take some water and sprinkle it on them. On the Kalash, do pooja using haldi, kumkum, and flowers. Turn on a diya. Close your eyes and focus on Goddess Lakshmi while holding some flowers and grains in your palms. Doing this, you are currently calling on Goddess Lakshmi. Recite mantras if you know them. Otherwise, merely focus on Goddess Lakshmi. Sprinkle the flowers and grains on the Goddess Lakshmi’s idol. Remove the Goddess Lakshmi idol and set it on a Thaali. Water is used to clean the idol, followed by milk, curd, ghee, honey, and sugar. Then, using water, clean the idol once more.

Replace the idol on the Kalash. Offer marigold garlands or bel tree leaves, sandalwood paste, kumkum, and other daily puja materials such as burning incense and agarbhatis. Offer coconut, fruits, sweets, betel nuts, and betel leaves now. Following that, make offerings of Batasha sweets, puffed rice, coriander, and cumin seeds. Finally, offer a quiet Arati to Goddess Lakshmi. And think of Goddess Lakshmi. Take some of the ‘prasad’ (that will last for a long time) and place it where jewellery and currency are generally stored. On this day, businesspeople, like Goddess Lakshmi, adore their accounting books. This is merely a suggestion. You may be adaptable during the puja procedure. Some of the required components may not be easily available. However, you can keep your home and surroundings clean. Finally, if you are unable to do the puja, simply focus on Goddess Lakshmi wherever you are.
